Earlier in the month Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filings made by Microsoft
showed that the Redmond-based company is testing a new wireless chip for the Xbox One
for FCC approval. At the time it was speculated that this could be for a slimmed down version
of the Xbox One or a new iteration akin to Sony's PS4 NEO.

A report on Thurrot.com lends credence to this discovery, along with another more recent one
that states the Xbox One Slim, or Xbox One II as it's being nicknamed, has been in mass
production since February 2016.

According to writer Brad Sams, Microsoft will have a big hardware announcement at E3 2016.
Quite possibly a new console variant of the Xbox One. Although he doesn't have all the details.

"The company also has something else up its sleeve that I still don't have all the details on but
 it's a much bigger deal than an updated standard controller. While the rumours of a PS4K
 have been running rampant, and I don't know yet if this new device is set to take on that
console, they will have another, much larger hardware related announcement, at E3 this year,
" Sams wrote. "I had previously heard that they were working on a new Elite console, they
recently announced an Elite bundle, but I am not sure if this is an update to that product or
something brand new."

In addition to this, he claims that there will be a new Xbox One controller which will stick to
the similar design and may sport new colour options. Furthermore, expect Microsoft to try
leveraging Windows 10 to take the fight to Sony.

"The idea is simple, even for games that are not device exclusive, make unique experiences
between the console and the PC that PlayStation cannot emulate easily to help differentiate
the console from its competitors," his post reads.

While Microsoft has not commented on this officially, that hasn't stopped Xbox's Director of
Programming Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb from taking to Twitter to strike out against these
latest reports.

Motorola's next Moto X-series smartphone has been in the news recently, with purported images and other details surfacing online in the past few weeks. Now, a new leak has made its way to the Web.

The Moto X3 aka Moto X (2016) is said to have passed the Geekbench benchmark test with a Snapdragon 820 SoC on board. The benchmark results shown in an image posted by Mobipicker also reveal further details about the handset's innards. The Moto handset is listed as Motorola XT1650, and packs quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with 4GB of RAM. The Motorola XT1650 model will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, as per the benchmark result. As with other benchmark related leaks, the complete specifications of the Moto X3 are not available as of now.

• The biggest addition expected in the new Moto X is a fingerprint scanner.
• One of the biggest additions expected in the Moto X3 aka Moto X 2016 is the presence of a fingerprint scanner right below the display. Several leaked images have tipped that the Moto X3 may feature a fingerprint scanner. Currently, it's not clear whether the fingerprint scanner is a standalone sensor or if it is integrated into the home button, just like Samsung's Galaxy handsets. A Lenovo executive had earlier this year confirmed that all Motorola smartphones launching in 2016 would feature a fingerprint scanner.
  Some of the other details rumoured for the Moto X3 include a USB Type-C port while the handset was seen featuring the iconic Motorola logo "M" on top of the screen. A recent listing on Zauba, an import and export tracking site, had tipped that the anticipated Motorola Moto X3 smartphone was shipped to India. The listing further suggested that the Moto X3 may feature a 5-inch display and support a single SIM card.
